Emotions Unknowingly taking effect..

To actually see something at the brink of death..
To see it fighting for its own life..
To see it stay resilient, only to live for a few more seconds, minutes or hours..
To see it hopelessly in that situation yet, it continues to fan the flames of hope...
And even so, to be seeing all this,
You're unable to help..
You're unable to stand between life and death..
You're unable to let it live...
Yet you want to..
Because you're human..
Because you have emotions..
You want to see it live..
For the sight of something dying is just something you cannot take...
To see the ugliness of death..
Be it an ant, a fish, a human life..
Your head will just go on being inundated with guilt..
Why didn't you do anything..

and yea.. I realised that even I couldn't bear to kill an ant..
